Plexamp has streaming settings that can transcode my ALAC hi-res to lo-res and does work well, I just prefer to be 100% sure that I'm not wasting money on bits I can't hear. Streaming service: Tidal (or Spotify with free account)īeing ma-hooo-sively tight when it comes to paying for mobile data, I have a Plex library of lo-bitrate music. My music library on the NAS: Plexamp (free with Plex Pass or in-app purchase).Downloaded music: just use Apple's Music app and manually manage your music from Finder/iTunes (as per macOS).SUPER AUDIO PLAYER: Loudness leveling, true gapless playback, Sweet Fades, soft transitions, a configurable preamp, a 7-band EQ, and more. TBH I found other apps to work better with CarPlay, i.e.you get better access to your library: Plexamp is a beautiful, dedicated Plex music player with tons of goodies for audiophile purists, music curators, and music fans of all ages looking for their next aural fix.

This is what was posted on the other forum when they added CarPlay: Oct 20, 2022, 11:25 am EDT 1 min read Andrew Heinzman / Review Geek, Plex Available today for desktop and mobile clients, the Plexamp v4.5.0 update introduces a large number of highly-requested features. Otherwise, I recall the CarPlay features of DS audio being somewhat limited. First thing is to confirm that you have network access from the iPhone and NAS: is the car parked within range of your WiFi? If not, have you enabled Internet access to the NAS?
